I talked to those folks yesterday. From what I understand, they are looking to shoot some footage interviewing survivalists that they will then use to try and sell some sort of reality TV series. The woman I talked to seemed nice enough but really didn't know much at all about survivalism and seemed to be more interested in the, ahem, extreme survivalists.
Seems that "reality TV" should be called "Extreme People Who Don't Represent Ordinary Reality in Anyway." I guess that's kinda long for a catch-phrase, but Extreme TV's already been taken by the sports world and I don't think "Unreality TV" would really work for advertisers. They should just make a TV show about people who are actually preparing for a zombie outbreak. That'd be good TV.
I was leery when I first saw this most prepers would run from these guys. This is about portrayal of prepers as people in their basements surrounded by cases of MRE’s lovingly stroking their SKS’s waiting for the New World Order. I think this portrayal gives non-prepers a sense of “This is not mainstream I don’t have to worry” this is why most people in a SHTF situation would be prone to panic and dangerious.

I’d say probably 2037 if you want to scare some year because Apophis is going to sweep Earth but change that it would impact is still 1/1000 maximum so theres no need to scare it unless it happens, were ready to rock’n'roll!(Survive)
